Inspiring local groups support poor and vulnerable

The Independent recently reported that families across the UK face a “summer of hardship” as mounting money problems caused by the pandemic leave those on low incomes at grave risk of going hungry, food charities have warned. Over the last three months, hundreds of inspiring local groups have sprung into action, including our very own Fuzz Dix, a veteran Kids Matter facilitator doing incredible work to support families on the Isle of Dogs. Kids Matter is a programme that engages with families and young children before crisis point – it strengthens families by giving mums and dads the tools to be competent, confident parents or caregivers.
